Deepwater Horizon Trustees to Host Two Public Events, July 18 and 19 in Mississippi

Attend two important public events with federal and state Trustees, partners, and stakeholders restoring the Gulf of Mexico

The Deepwater Horizon Trustee Council is asking community members, stakeholders and interested members of the public to attend two important events that will help you better understand restoration in the Gulf of Mexico, and provide updates on our progress over the last year. 

  • Outreach and Education Workshop on July 18 in Gulfport, MS.
  • Trustee Council Annual Public Meeting on July 19 in Long Beach, MS.

Event 1: Outreach and Education Workshop on July 18

The Trustees will hold a two-part education and outreach workshop on the evening of July 18 in Gulfport, MS. There you'll learn more about restoration in the Gulf of Mexico and how to get involved. This workshop will be in addition to the Trustee Council’s third annual public meeting being held the next day. 

The workshop will be held July 18 at the Marriott Courtyard Gulfport Beachfront in Gulfport, MS at 5:30 p.m. 

Event 2: Annual Public Meeting on July 19

The next day, July 19, the Trustee Council is holding its third annual public meeting in Long Beach, MS. During this meeting, we will present updates on the restoration progress made by the Trustee Council and each of the Trustee Implementation Groups. This meeting will also serve as the annual public meeting for the Region-wide Trustee Implementation Group.

The annual public meeting will be held July 19 at the Unversity of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus near Gulfport in Long Beach, MS at 5:30 p.m.
