Keesler staff have been very proactive with regards to incorporating habitat restoration activities proposed by the Natural Resource Trustees into the remedial design and remedial action at Landfills 2 & 3. Among these include restoring normal estuarine circulation and planting emergent wetland vegetation (Spartina and Juncus).
