Bay directly to the north of the Live Impact Area, in an area not yet cleared of potential unexploded ordnance. View from observation post in the Live Impact Area out to the east end of Vieques Island. Warning sign posted by the Navy along beaches on the east side of Vieques Island. Bunker previously used to store munitions on west side of Vieques Island. Turtle nest on Red Beach on southeast coast of Vieques Island. Land crab burrow with land crab visible inside. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) escort with hand held magnetometer assists in underwater survey efforts off coast of Vieques Island. Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians survey for munitions on land on east side of Vieques Island. NOAA scientists launch Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) with side-scan sonar to survey for munitions in bay off the northeast coast of Vieques Island.
