Remedial/Injury Assessment
Site: Cornell-Dubilier Electronics, Inc., NJ

Source: Electronic parts and components manufacturing facility.

Release: Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).

Primary Injury: Resource services have been lost due to hazardous substances in the Bound Brook corridor. Concentrations of site-related contaminants in sediment and fish tissue indicate likely impacts to trust resources in the Bound Brook and its associated emergent and forested wetlands. A state-issued fish consumption advisory has been in effect since 1997 for all species of fish along the entire length of Bound Brook as a result of elevated concentrations of PCBs in fish tissue.
