Source: Tannery and hide processing operations.

Release: Trace elements (chromium, mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic), cyanide, calcium carbonate, sulfide, brine, organic solvents, formic acid, carbolic acid, formaldehyde, ammonia, and alcohols.

Primary risk: The primary risk in the aquatic environment at the site is associated with the bioaccumulation of chromium, mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic from contaminated sediments and wetland soils.
